The pillow, being a common item in the daily sleep environment, is naturally integrated into people’s surroundings, making it an ideal tool for sleep posture monitoring while requiring minimal effort. Sleep posture significantly impacts overall sleep quality, which in turn affects emotional well-being. However, current wearable monitoring devices and interactive pillows often draw users’ attention, potentially disrupting their sleep and emotional state. This research aims to validate the following hypotheses: (1) Are people willing to learn about their sleeping positions and emotional health data using an interactive pillow? (2) How can sensors be seamlessly integrated into the interactive pillow to monitor sleep posture without disturbing the user? (3) What are the users’ preferences and feedback regarding both tangible and intangible systems? Therefore, we have developed a non-intrusive system that includes an interactive pillow and a mobile application. The interactive pillow features a 4 \(\,\times \,\) 6 Velostat pressure-sensitive array that utilizes piezoresistive properties to detect pressure changes. It can capture posture data without disturbing the user, while the mobile app provides real-time analysis and personalized recommendations. This system also offers insights into behavior changes related to sleep posture through non-intrusive, subtle interactions, which would contribute to better sleep quality and overall emotional health. It is found that the interactive pillow system can effectively enhance sleep quality and emotional well-being by offering personalized, data-driven insights and recommendations.

摘要
