Assessing Pedagogical Strategies Used in Technical-Vocational Education Contribute to Sustainable Development 4: Quality Education

This study examined the pedagogical strategies used in Technical-Vocational Education (TVE) at Caraga State University—Cabadbaran City and their role in supporting Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education. The research employed a quantitative approach based on Jerome Bruner’s Scaffolding Theory, collecting data from A.Y. 2022–2023 graduates of the BTVTEd and BTLEd programs through structured surveys. It evaluated the effectiveness and satisfaction levels associated with various pedagogical strategies. The findings confirmed that hands-on learning was the most effective in enhancing skill development and career readiness. However, notable gaps persist in entrepreneurship training, digital learning, and job placement support, which need urgent improvement. The study recommends strengthening industry partnerships, upgrading facilities, incorporating entrepreneurship into the curriculum, and enhancing teacher training and student support to align with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
