In Vivo Bacterial Data Storage Solutions
摘要
DNA is a dense storage medium and have been used by many researches for in-vitro DNA storage. However, since beginning many researchers are also exploring other living organism such as bacteria and even plants for storing data. There are several approaches for bacterial data storage. This chapter introduces a plasmid-based approach for data storage in bacteria. We illustrate briefly our own experimental method of storing data on plasmids. This field is evolving fast and many new methods have been developed such as CRISPR spacer acquisition as a molecular recorder, recombinase-based memory circuits, DNA typewriters, barcoding strategies, etc. We hope readers can explore further in other bacteria-based storage methods using the references given in the chapter.
