摘要

The indispensable use of nanomaterial-based biosensors has attained extreme importance across numerous domains including the discovery of supreme drugs, areas in biomedicine, observance of food safety values, security and defense zones, and ecological intensive care. Biosensors deliver a modest, instantaneous, delicate, sensitive and precise exposure method to analyze environmental impurities, mostly phenols and phenolic complexes, heavy metals such as chromium, mercury, lead, arsenic, etc., and toxic substances like insecticides, pesticides, and various natural organic matters. Whereas, food safety observation plays a critical role in protecting civic health, preserving consumer assurance, subsidiary economic firmness, and smoothing global trade. Thus, specific and controlling systematic measuring tools have been invented utilizing biological detection elements known as biosensors. The continuing research in emerging control systems to monitor food quality and safety aims to progress effectiveness, diminish the risks engrossment to control food quality, and boost customer assurance in the food stock chain. Nanomaterial-based biosensors and bio-diagnostic systems appear to complement traditional systematic methods to monitor environmental contaminants and control food quality significantly. This chapter deals with existing and forthcoming practices of different types of nanomaterial-based biosensors and bioanalytical methods in the field of environmental applications and food quality control systems.
