Research on Container Supply Chain Prosperity Index Indicator Framework

To address the high volatility and information gaps in the global container industry, a container supply chain prosperity index (CSPI) framework is developed in this paper. Building on a comprehensive review of existing shipping indices and an analysis of key supply chain influences, from production and transportation to leasing the research establishes a foundational indicator framework. Prioritizing practical application, the study details the methodology for two initial sub-indices, the container production sub-Index and the container inventory sub-Index, identified through correlation analysis with leading economic indicators. The CSPI is designed to serve as a critical barometer, enabling proactive industry decision-making and enhancing the resilience of global container supply chains.
