Design and Verification of a Carbon Fiber Monocoque for Formula Student
摘要
The monocoque is a load-bearing vehicle body structure, typically constructed using a sandwich composite layup of carbon fiber prepreg, honeycomb core, and carbon fiber prepreg [1]. Highly regarded in global Formula Student competitions for its high strength and lightweight advantages, this paper details a monocoque design based on the competition rules. The design process begins with defining monocoque dimensions through ergonomic analysis and 3D modeling, followed by simulation and validation under three working conditions: torsion, bending, and impact. This systematic approach provides a standardized methodology for monocoque design.
