Green Nanotechnology: Synthesis and Application of Eco-Friendly Nanomaterials for Environmental Sustainability and Agricultural Advancement
摘要
Nanotechnology is revolutionizing various sectors, such as medicine, electronics, energy, and material science, with its ability to manipulate matter at the nanoscale. Current research is pushing the boundaries of understanding and creating innovative nanomaterials with unique properties. These advancements promise significant contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including improved healthcare, enhanced energy efficiency, reduced environmental pollution, and sustainable agriculture. However, environmental and health concerns associated with traditional nanomaterial synthesis, highlight the need for green nanotechnology. This approach focuses on eco-friendly materials and processes to minimize environmental impact. Techniques for green synthesis include using plant extracts, microorganisms, bio-based precursors, microwave-assisted synthesis, and sonochemical methods. Applications of green nanomaterials include environmental remediation, where nanoparticles efficiently remove pollutants from air, water, and soil, and agriculture, where they improve nutrient uptake and minimize chemical leaching. Continued research in green nanotechnology is crucial for addressing global challenges and achieving sustainability.
