摘要

Nanotechnology has emerged as a transformative tool in modern agriculture, offering innovative solutions to enhance productivity, sustainability, and environmental safety. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals and applications of nanotechnology in agriculture. Synthesis and advanced characterization techniques essential for understanding the size, shape, surface properties, and functional behavior of nanomaterials are also reviewed. Various nanomaterials have been explored for agricultural applications, including nano-fertilizers, nano-insecticides, and nano-pesticides. These materials have also been shown to promote plant growth by enhancing seed germination, nutrient uptake, and stress tolerance. The antimicrobial and antifungal properties of nanomaterials are discussed, along with their potential for controlling plant viral diseases, particularly satellite tobacco necrosis virus.
