Order of Joyful Life

The chapter begins by explaining the three-layered nature of joyful life; starting from the aesthetic and normative, and finally towards the spiritual. Moving from the idea of lived body, indigenous idea of body-spirit has been explored—the idea that each body is embodied with a spirit. The body-spirit, prior to trodding into the mystical realm, enjoys the initial ground in the social world. Social solidarity conceived through moral commitment have been discussed. Indigenous terms like kenyü has be discussed in detail to highlight the idea of embedded moral value. Re-rendering of contemporary global reading of animism has been attempted with a recognition of the intangible forces of nature. A theoretical position engrained in the concept of anthropocosmic worldview has been discussed. This perspective captures the essence of treating the humans, animals, plants and the non-living at par in terms of identity and agency. Finally, an attempt has been made to dwell into the ontology of the spiritual world governed by mysticism in which anthropocenes craft their meaning of existence. The belief among the ethnocenes that there are forces of nature (cosmic universe) which govern the human world has been elaborated through stories and myths.
