摘要

This paper presents an analysis based on lightning electric field observation data collected in 2024 from lightning observatory in high altitude region of Tibet (LOHA) Yangbajing and Lhasa sites. Incorporating waveform parameters of negative ground flashes in low-altitude areas, this study comparatively analyzes key waveform differences between the two regions in both the first return stroke. Results indicate that rise time, half-peak width, zero-crossing time, and slow front time of lightning strike waveforms in high-altitude areas are significantly longer than those in low-altitude areas, while the ratio of slow front to peak value is lower. This study investigates the impact of high-altitude environments on lightning waveforms, providing empirical support for lightning protection and risk assessment of transmission lines in Xizang high altitude regions.
