摘要

Metal particles introduced during manufacturing, installation, and operation processes can significantly degrade the insulation performance of Gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (GIS). This study identifies three typical particle accumulation regions in a 220 kV GIS system: the wedge-shaped gas gap near the ground electrode, the middle surface of the basin insulator, and the surface of the grounded enclosure. Electric field simulations are conducted for four representative particle type: sphere, block, wire, and powder. The simulation results indicate that wire is the most dangerous particle, and the most critical location is the middle surface of the basin insulator, where the maximum distorted electric field strength can reach up to 56.06 kV/mm.
