Research on Modular Photovoltaic Alkaline Water Hydrogen Production System Based on “Many to One” Scheme

The electrolysis of water for hydrogen production technology has been widely applied in gas-fired power plants and nuclear power plants, especially in wind and photovoltaic power generation and hydrogen energy integration projects, becoming a research and application hotspot. With the development of hydrogen energy technology, large-scale and modular hydrogen production equipment has become a research focus. Based on this, this article introduces the photovoltaic electrolysis water hydrogen production technology, presents the design process of a large capacity electrolytic cell, and deeply explores the many to one scheme for alkaline water hydrogen production. Through design, modular alkaline water hydrogen production is achieved. The upper power control unit of the system adopts a control method combining power allocation and electrolytic cell array rotation, and the alkaline electrolytic cell power control loop adopts fuzzy PI control. Finally, the feasibility of the scheme is verified through Matlab/simulink simulation. The modular photovoltaic alkaline water hydrogen production system can meet market demand, save project equipment space, and reduce hydrogen production costs, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
