Self-assembly of Pluronic Surfactants and Their Applications
摘要
This chapter examines how Pluronic surfactants self-assemble and the various ways they can be used in science and technology. Pluronics, which are triblock copolymers made of poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(propylene oxide), possess distinctive thermoresponsive and amphiphilic characteristics that promote micellization, gelation, and the creation of various nanostructures. In the chapter, the physicochemical principles that govern their self-assembly are discussed, along with the factors that influence structural transitions and the effects of concentration, temperature, and solvent conditions. Applications in drug delivery, nanomedicine, and emulsification are highlighted. Gaining an understanding of the self-assembly mechanisms of Pluronics can provide important insights for the design of sophisticated materials intended for biomedical and industrial uses.
