Conservation and Augmentation of Indigenous Bumblebee Bombus haemorrhoidalis Smith in Cultivated Ecosystems

Bumblebees are well known as buzz bees and are effective natural pollinators in ecosystems. These bees contribute to pollination services to agriculture, increasing profits, producing crops and reducing labour costs. Their decline is evident from the low crop yields and quality despite necessary agronomic inputs. Conservation and management of native species and large-scale artificial rearing techniques are necessary for sustaining the natural resources and agricultural production.
