Bio-ecology and Utilization of Nomia for Pollination
摘要
Nomia bees are a group of native bee species that are important pollinators of crops and wild plants. Nomia bee species are a genus of sweat bees in the family Halictidae with over 130 named species, which are found in most parts of the world. Hoplonomia westwoodi (Gribodo 1894) is a common species of southern India, recorded as an important pollinator of many cultivated crops. The maximum number of nests of alkali bees is seen in soil with higher pH. The conservation and utilization of Nomia bees need to be worked out.
