A Guide to Organ Health Through Blood Testing

  • Jalal A. Jazayeri

摘要

Blood tests related to vital organs such as the heart and pancreas have already been discussed in earlier sections—specifically under lipid profiles (for heart health, see Chap. 5 ), blood glucose (Chap. 3 ), and insulin as a hormone (Chap. 4 ), which relate to pancreatic function. Therefore, in this section, we will turn our attention to three other key organs commonly assessed in routine blood tests: (i) the thyroid, (ii) the kidneys, and (iii) the liver. Understanding the function and health of these organs through blood markers is essential for diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
