Lattice Boltzmann Method: Single Phase

摘要

The basic theory and practical implementation of the single-phase LBM are presented. Fluid motion is described through collision and streaming processes, while macroscopic quantities are obtained from particle distribution functions. Key components required for constructing an LBM solver are introduced, including lattice models, collision operators, boundary conditions, forcing schemes, and nondimensionalization. Improved collision models and GPU-based parallel computing strategies are also discussed to enhance numerical stability and computational efficiency. A vortex-shedding simulation is provided as a project example, allowing readers to apply the fundamental concepts of LBM to a representative single-phase flow problem.
