Basics of River Hydrology
摘要
This chapter starts from the concept of constant dripping wears away stone to explore the origins of rivers, the mechanisms of runoff generation, the storage and regulation capacity of catchments, and the morphological evolution of river systems under the combined influence of natural factors and human activities. Additionally, we will examine the basic characteristics of hydrological regimes in nature. This fundamental knowledge lays the groundwork for the subsequent study of hydrological statistics and the derivation of engineering design parameters.
