Characterization Techniques and Their Efficacy for Hydrogels and Ferrogels
摘要
The advances in materials research have revealed several important properties like mechanical properties, therapeutic advancements, interfacial strengthening, and porosities, which offer a broad variety of applications. This chapter emphasizes the latest developments in hydrogels and ferrogels (HG-FGs) for theranostic applications based on their microstructure, phase, mechanical, tribological, electrochemical, and magnetic properties, emphasizing its promise for further study. For this reason, the latest results of several studies on the production of such materials are given after a discussion of some significant techniques for improving the properties of HG-FGs. It appears that the HG-FGs may achieve the desired surface features, phases, functional groups, mechanical, tribological, electrochemical, magnetic, and biological characteristics through a combination of modifications, including materials design, surface functionalization, animal testing, regulating the HG-FGs’ isoelectric point, and computer modeling.
