Steel, as the most crucial structural and functional material, plays an irreplaceable role in the national economy, people’s lives, and national security. China’s steel industry has undergone rapid development over the past decade, with significant growth in capacity and output, effectively supporting the country’s rapid economic development. However, the lack of innovation in key technologies and the limitation of product development to following others have led to a lack of product differentiation and a severe overcapacity of low- and mid-end products.
