Converter valve is the key equipment for AC /DC converter, and its reliability and stability directly affect the safety of power grid. Thick film resistor plays a role in balancing the pressure when the converter valve starts and plays a vital role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of the converter valve. Resistor paste is the key material for preparing thick film resistors, and its performance directly determines the electrical performance and reliability of resistors. In order to improve the reliability of thick film resistor, this study deeply discusses the influence of film thickness and sintering curve of resistor paste on its pulse and overload performance from the aspect of production process. Through carefully designed experiments, resistance samples with different film thicknesses were prepared and processed by various sintering curves, and then their impulse response characteristics and overload performance were comprehensively tested and analyzed. The results show that the film thickness and sintering curve of the resistor paste have a significant effect on its pulse and overload performance. The appropriate combination of film thickness and sintering curve parameters can optimize the resistor performance, which provides an important theoretical basis and technical reference for the application of resistor paste in electronic devices.
