摘要

The adjustable aperture is a core component of optical imaging systems, and its size directly affects the field of view, imaging clarity, resolution, depth of field, and image brightness. This paper proposes an adjustable aperture based on dielectric elastomer. Dielectric elastomer actuators are characterized by continuous tunability with a relatively large tuning range, along with advantages such as compact size and high energy density. However, dielectric elastomer actuators typically exhibit in-plane motion. Therefore, a mechanical transmission structure composed of flexible hinges is designed. Driven by the dielectric elastomer, the aperture blades rotate to adjust the light-passing aperture. This structure expands the adjustment range of the aperture diameter and theoretically enables complete blocking of luminous flux.
