Gynecology Surgery: Special Instruments
摘要
Laparoscopic gynecological surgery has evolved significantly since its early development in the 20th century, becoming a cornerstone of minimally invasive surgical practice. While many instruments are shared with general laparoscopy, several specialized tools are uniquely designed for gynecological procedures. This chapter focuses on key instruments including uterine manipulators, laparoscopic myoma screws, vaginal tubes, and fallopian ring applicators. Their design, components, mechanisms, and clinical applications are described in detail, emphasizing their role in enhancing visualization, precision, and surgical efficiency. Practical aspects such as correct handling, stepwise usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting are also discussed. These instruments play a crucial role in procedures such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, and tubal ligation, contributing to reduced operative time, improved safety, and better patient outcomes. Mastery of these specialized tools is essential for optimizing performance in modern gynecological laparoscopic surgery.
