摘要

Morcellators are essential devices in minimally invasive surgery, designed to fragment and remove large tissue specimens through small incisions or natural orifices. Widely used in gynecological procedures, they are broadly categorized into laparoscopic and hysteroscopic systems. Laparoscopic morcellators, commonly employed in procedures such as hysterectomy and myomectomy, utilize motorized rotating or oscillating blades, often with suction, to efficiently extract tissue while minimizing surgical trauma. Hysteroscopic morcellators, such as the TruClear™ system, integrate visualization, cutting, and irrigation to enable precise intrauterine tissue removal. The advent of in-bag morcellation has further enhanced safety by containing tissue fragments and reducing dissemination risks. This chapter outlines the mechanism, components, applications, and safe usage of morcellators, emphasizing their advantages, including reduced morbidity, improved cosmetic outcomes, and faster recovery, while highlighting maintenance and troubleshooting for optimal performance.
