Bangalore’s heavy traffic volume, both for pedestrians and for vehicles, presents many problems. These include finding safe places to cross, taking longer to reach destinations, more fuel consumption, and causing pollution. The Sunkadakatte market is an overflowing commercial sector. Numerous people attend the market every day and take buses to Tavarekere, T. G. Halli, Magadi village, Mysore Road, Peenya Industrial Area. This section of the road is frequently used by commuters to access NICE road. Because of the poorly run bus stations, marketplaces, and fruit and vegetable vendors, traffic in Sunkadakatte is unpredictable. Bus stops don’t have designated zones, which puts drivers and pedestrians in danger. Random positioning of vendors and overflowing commercial areas also contribute to the issue. One effective solution to reduce accidents and improve traffic flow is the installation of foot over bridges (FOBs) in peak traffic areas. The implementation of FOBs in peak traffic areas will help alleviate the risk of accidents by ensuring a clear separation between pedestrians and vehicles. These bridges are necessary in metropolitan areas with considerable foot traffic to ensure pedestrian safety. In the present work, the steel FOB is designed using the Staad Pro tool and checked for overall stability of the steel structure. Bending moment, shear force and node displacements are examined.

摘要
