A Review of Road Safety Evaluation Method Based on CarSim/TruckSim Under the Background of Vehicle Road Coordination

摘要

With the continuous development of the concept of road design, road design is no longer confined to the simple data stipulated in the design specifications. It pays more attention to the coordination of people-vehicle-road. Therefore, in the road safety evaluation, it is not only necessary to judge whether the design of the road itself is reasonable, but also to take human factors and vehicle dynamics into account and analyze the road safety from three aspects. In the process of exploring the role of human factors and vehicle dynamics, simulation methods are indispensable. As a vehicle dynamics simulation software that integrates vehicle dynamics, road model and driver behavior, CarSim and TruckSim are not only widely used in the automotive industry, but also gradually favored by many road designers. This paper will first briefly introduce the characteristics of CarSim and TruckSim and summarize the application status of some scholars using this two software in road safety evaluation in recent years. Finally, look forward to the future possibilities of these two software in vehicle infrastructure cooperation.
