Resection of the entire humerus is required when there is an extension of the tumour from the distal or proximal humerus with extensive medullary extension or a skip lesion. The entire humerus is resected together with an oncological soft tissue margin over the primary site: either the distal or proximal humerus and the additional intraosseous lesion.
