Economic Development with Heterogeneous Households

This Chapter introduces the purpose of the book and provides the chapter structure. The economic, political, social, cultural, historical, and behavioral differences between heterogeneous groups have been widely discussed, but few adequate mathematical models exist to explain them. This book aims to systematically explore the issue of economic growth across—for instance, racial and ethnic—groups within a unified analytical framework, based on minimal assumptions. I integrate various economic theoretical approaches into a single analytical framework. I integrate economic theory into a comprehensive framework. This book is part of my broader approach to unraveling economic complexity. It explores the complexity of multi-group economic growth. The book contains different mathematical models. Each model explores some of the issues related to economic growth with heterogeneous households. Each model can be integrated with any model(s) in this book.
