摘要

Resilient coastal cities are based on two perspectives: (1) social perspective focusing on creating liveable communities through boosting social networks, community participation, and access to available funds and resources, and (2) Built environment, which focuses on enhancing the construction and building design practices (Oktari et al in Prog Disaster Sci 5, 2020). The absence of a comprehensive urban design system allows for the exploration of the development of an AI-powered toolkit that is capable of effectively responding to the various changes and challenges encountered by coastal cities and generating suitable solutions. The toolkit will encompass precise guidelines, innovative design specifications, and intelligent prompts to harness predictive analytics and drive an optimized design process. By addressing critical challenges ranging from rising sea levels, flooding, erosion, and environmental pollution to the cascading effects of climate change on marine ecosystems and urban development. It seeks to pave the way for enhanced ecological resilience and sustainable coastal living. The expected outcome of this research will provide a foundational framework for integrating AI-driven generative design into urban and architectural practices for coastal cities. Developing prompt guidelines tailored to resilience parameters will empower architects, urban planners, and policymakers to craft adaptive and sustainable solutions for coastal city edges. These guidelines will serve as a critical tool for mitigating risks, fostering a paradigm shift towards more innovative, data-informed, and ecologically balanced urban design methodologies.
