摘要

The basis for optimal asset management is the most comprehensive possible knowledge of the influences on the condition development of the assets. Weigh-in-motion and temperature sensors were installed in an urban road to improve the prediction of asphalt road fatigue. The measurement data was used to improve knowledge of the influences of real and time-of-day-dependent traffic loads, real temperature conditions in the road and various degrees of shading. The results of the continuously calculated fatigue states of the asphalt layers show, among other things, that the weekly increase in fatigue can be almost twice as large in high solar radiation as in predominantly shaded areas and that the increase in fatigue in 2024 was only 85% of that in 2023 due to weather conditions. In the future, the measurement data will be used after the occurrence of damage in the road to improve the quality of the damage forecast and to enable the damage forecast for roads where no complex measurement technology can be installed. This should enable the application of asset management for the entire road network.
