The Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Creation of Multilingual Educational Videos: The Case of the Heygen Platform
摘要
This paper examines how recent advances in generative AI particularly synthetic video generation, automated translation, and voice synthesis enable scalable production of multilingual educational videos. Through a mixed-method case study of Heygen’s deployment in Moroccan universities during the COVID-19 lockdowns, it analyzes production efficiencies, linguistic and cultural adaptation, learner engagement, and infrastructural constraints. The findings highlight dramatic reductions in turnaround time, enhanced accessibility for Arabic, French, and Amazigh speaking students, and recommendations for integrating AI workflows with human review to ensure pedagogical rigor.
