Evaluation in Metaverse: A Pilot Study in HCI Education
摘要
As an emerging technology, the metaverse is increasingly recognized for its potential to transform education by enabling the creation of immersive and engaging learning environments. However, its adoption remains in the early stages and is the subject of ongoing investigation. This paper presents a pilot study in which we designed and implemented a Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) course within a virtual reality environment, involving both a professor and learners. A user-centered evaluation was conducted to assess the system’s usability, learners’ cognitive workload, knowledge acquisition, and overall learning experience. This study leads to several perspectives.
