Artificial Intelligence and Online Language Learning at Moroccan Universities: Current State, Challenges, and Perspectives-the Case of the Rosetta Stone Platform
摘要
This study explores the integration of artificial intelligence in language learning within Moroccan universities, focusing on the Rosetta Stone platform. In the context of higher education’s digital transition, the research investigates how such tools reshape learning by influencing both pedagogical practices and learner experiences. Using a mixed-methods approach, it combines quantitative data from students with qualitative insights from faculty. Findings indicate that AI supports more personalized and flexible learning, yet highlight challenges linked to accessibility, teacher preparation, and the gap between standardized digital content and local academic realities. By grounding the analysis in real classroom contexts, the study underscores how AI is both adopted and perceived by students and educators. It concludes with practical recommendations aimed at strengthening an equitable and context-sensitive integration of AI-driven learning in Morocco’s university system.
