Research on Mobile Injection Pipe Technology for Offshore Oilfield

The mobile platform injects heat into the fixed platform in the Bohai Oilfield. Relative displacement will occur between the platforms due to tidal wind and waves, resulting in stretching and twisting damage to the pipeline and the risk of high-temperature and high-pressure steam leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate for the steam pipeline. Through the selection and design of the high-temperature and high-pressure compensation pipeline structure, it is proposed to use the multi-wave natural compensation mode of continuous arc straight pipe section, and the compensation amount is designed to be ± 1 m in the X\Y direction; the finite element analysis is carried out for the pipeline compensation amount, insulation, strength and material, and the stretching, fatigue and other tests are carried out for the principle model, and the engineering model is applied on site to achieve the design index. It is confirmed that the design method of the compensation pipeline, the test evaluation method of the compensation pipeline, and the quality control technology of the compensation pipeline are established, and the first application in the offshore oilfield is realized, and a new mode of mobile injection heating for offshore heavy oil is opened. It has solved the key problems for the national energy strategy and CNOOC to “build a 30-million-ton capacity” by 2025. The paper aims to introduce and explain this technology, and to provide key technical references for the follow-up research and large-scale mobile injection heating.
