Research and Practice on Key Technologies for Efficient Development of Complex Fault-Block Reservoirs in N3 Block

The N3 block represents a multi-layered complex fault-block reservoir which is restricted by fracture system Insufficient understanding, inconsistent stratigraphic correlation framework plan, and imprecise single sandbody characterization. The “dual ultra-high” development phase encountered pronounced challenges characterized by intricate remaining oil distribution patterns and suboptimal waterflood sweep efficiency. Through integrated innovations in integrated well-seismic-reservoir sandbody characterization techniques, three-anew reservoir interval optimization techniques, and intelligent flow field control techniques, established a systematic approach for efficient development of complex fault-block reservoirs [1]. Field implementation demonstrates that this technology maintained the oil production rate of the reservoir block above 1.3%, while reducing the natural decline rate by 6.9 percentage points, increasing recovery efficiency by 2.1 percentage points, and adding 173,000 metric tons of newly recoverable reserves, significantly improving reservoir development performance.
