Analysis of the Application of Layered Testing Technology in Improving the Adjustment Effect of Polymer Flooding Development

Layered testing technology is an important monitoring and adjustment method in multi-layer polymer injection development blocks. The development personnel can timely grasp the water absorption status of each layer segment by using the results of layered testing technology, and scientifically control the water nozzle opening to regulate the water injection allocation of each layer segment, which is conducive to improving the interlayer contradiction and enhancing the development effect of polymer flooding. Through the analysis of field application examples of layered testing technology in matching high and low permeability systems to achieve alternate injection, determining the start-up pressure of layer segments, improving the accuracy of profile control, clarifying the measure layer position, and determining the seepage capacity, this paper clearly demonstrates the crucial role of layered testing technology in improving the development effect of polymer flooding. It provides ideas for technicians to better apply the results of layered testing technology and offers referenceable experience for high-quality and high-efficiency development of polymer flooding. The findings provide valuable insights for professionals to utilize layered testing outcomes better. The technology's ability to quantify formation response during profile control operations significantly and reduces uncertainty in treatment design, leading to more effective conformance control. This study underscores the transformative impact of layered testing in achieving high-quality, cost-effective polymer flooding. By bridging theoretical models with field realities, it equips engineers with actionable insights to maximize hydrocarbon recovery while minimizing operational costs.
