Optimal Energy Management in Radial Distribution System with Integration of Distributed Generators and Shunt Capacitors
摘要
This work presents an integrated approach to addressing the distributed generators (DGs) and capacitor allocation problem in microgrid systems. The proper placement of these sources in the distribution system (DS) is a key aspect of achieving more positive benefits. So, a combined approach, such as a voltage stability index (VSI) followed by a Puma optimizer, is utilized to find desired locations and sizes of DGs and capacitors. The objective is also to develop an approach to minimize power loss and enhance the system VSI. Further, the Taiwan 83 bus practical test system is chosen to check the method's performance. Various cases, such as DG allocation, capacitor allocation, and combined DG and capacitor allocation, are considered, and significant findings are tabulated. Further, the method is compared with other algorithms to test the performance. The presented method minimizes the power loss to desired values and improves the VSI to the maximum extent.
