Optimal Allocation of EVCSs and Distributed Generation in Hybrid Distribution Networks Using Jaya Algorithm
摘要
Electric vehicles (EVs) have been replacing internal combustion engine vehicles in transportation market throughout the world. This leads to large-scale planning of new charging stations (CSs) and/or expansion of existing charging infrastructure to cope with the fast-growing EVs in the transportation system. However, this large-scale penetration of EVs leads to increased power losses, voltage deviations (VDs), and poor voltage regulation in the radial distribution systems (RDSs). A combined single objective is formulated by using the weighted sum of active power losses, voltage deviations (VDs), and voltage stability index (VSI). This paper describes a new methodology for optimal allocation of DGs and electric vehicle charging stations in the RDS and solved using Jaya Algorithm (JA). The suitability of proposed allocation problem is implemented on 69 bus RDS. The simulation results obtained showed the power of proposed methodology in terms of reduction in VDs, power losses, and increased overall VSI.
