Analysis of Treatment and Prevention Methods for Fracturing Sand Plugging

摘要

Hydraulic fracturing technology, as one way to creat new oil flow channel for reservoir stimulation and the main measure to improve the continuous stable production capacity of the reservoir, plays an important role in oilfield development. In the actual construction process, sudden accidents such as sand plugs are inevitable, which may lead to the failure of hydraulic fracturing and the premature end of the fracturing operation. A high sand-liquid ratio, a relatively fast sand addition speed, and a high pumping displacement are the direct engineering factors that causing sand plugs. Sufficient data preparation, scientific fracturing engineering design, good risk assessment and prediction, real-time on-site supervision, and rich experience are important guarantees for effectively avoiding sand plug accidents. This article introduced a method which conducted scientific research and judgment in handling of a sudden sand plug that occurred during the fracturing construction of a well in Jilin oil field and successfully saved the fracturing operation that was on the verge of failure due to the sand plug. Fracturing engineer accumulated valuable on-site disposal experience through this construction processe. It has important reference significance for guiding the solution of similar accidents.
