摘要

Research Purpose and Scope: Once the gas release valve in the production string fails, it becomes impossible to establish a circulation channel, posing well control safety risks and creating a series of difficulties for subsequent well-flushing and killing operations. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a fluid circulation channel that can connect the inside and outside of the tubing. Methods, Steps, and Process: Holes are drilled above and below the gas release valve, and two tubing packers are used to isolate the two circulation holes, ensuring a sealed separation between the packers and the rest of the tubing space. A wireline conveys the drilling tool to the designated position inside the tubing. A downhole support arm anchors the tool to the tubing wall, while the drilling assembly extends to perforate the tubing. Results, Insights, and Conclusions: To address the failure of the gas release valve that prevents circulation, a solution was proposed to establish a bypass circulation channel inside the tubing. A systematic approach was developed, including perforating the tubing and using an electrically controlled straddle bypass tool. The straddle bypass tool and the electric control instrument for its setting and release were designed and developed. Field applications demonstrated the entire process of tubing perforation and the establishment of a circulation channel using the electrically controlled straddle bypass tool, verifying the feasibility and advantages of this technology. Innovations,Technical Contributions, and Significance: An electrically controlled straddle bypass tool was proposed to resolve circulation failure in the wellbore. Corresponding tools and instruments were developed, providing a reference solution for similar well issues. This technology offers significant economic and social benefits in terms of well control and cost reduction.
