In the process of using hydraulic Power tong to makeup, the makeup situation is mainly judged by the torque value of hydraulic Power tongs.If the makeup torque is too high, it will increase the probability of thread damage and gluing. If the makeup torque is insufficient, it may cause phenomenon such as slippage and leakage.Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the makeup torque of hydraulic Power tong. The makeup torque of hydraulic Power tong is the product of the tension on the tail rope of the tong and the length of the tong arm.To ensure the correctness of the makeup torque of the hydraulic Power tong,At present, the main method is to periodically calibrate the sensor which is testing the tension on the tail rope of the tong. The method omits the influence of the frictional force between the tong head and the tong body, as well as the acceleration of the makeup angle on the torque value during the makeup process,Cannot fully guarantee the accuracy of makeup torque.This article develops a torque Calibration device for the hydraulic Power tong,Install the torque test short section on the hydraulic Power tong,directly obtain the torque value of the hydraulic Power tong during the process of makeup,Then compare the torque values displayed on the test short section with the torque values of the hydraulic Power tong,test the accuracy of torque value for the hydraulic Power tong.The testing accuracy of the device reaches 0.1%, which can complete torque value Calibration of various types of hydraulic Power tongs, avoiding only to calibrate individual components and achieving overall system calibrating of hydraulic power tongs, improving the accuracy of calibrating.
