The Development and Application of Heat Resistant PCPs on Cyclic Steam Stimulation Wells in X Oil Field
摘要
Aiming at solving the problems of frequent pump stuck and pump ineffectiveness due to abrasion concurring on beam pumping units caused by high sand cut during oil production of cyclic steam stimulation wells in X oil field, the heat resistant PCPs are developed and applied to prolong the pumps’ life span owing to the character of PCPs’ tolerance on sand. When a well is put into production, by means of the well bore temperature and pressure test, the highest temperature within the production section is determined at the beginning. Based on the in-house test on high-temperature resistant rubber corresponding to the determined highest temperature, the PCPs’ rubber, which is adaptable to the produced fluid in cyclic steam stimulation wells, is screened out. And then the innovative design in PCPs’ configuration is conducted to make them more adaptable to heavy oil production. Both in-house tests and field trials show that the PCPs are capable of meeting the lifting need of cyclic steam stimulation wells in X oil field and both the pumps’ efficiency and life span are increased significantly to render a powerful support to the effective exploitation of the oil field.
