Application of Anti-Jamming Device for Bailing Pump in Bailing Exploitation

As an efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly oil recovery method, bailing exploitation is playing an increasingly important role in oilfield development. The bailing pump serves to lift crude oil to the surface during the bailing operation. However, during the bailing process, the bailing pump descends under the gravitational pull of the weight rod. When the downhole casing is damaged or slightly deformed, sand is produced at the bottom of the well, or there are foreign bodies underground, the bailing pump may be obstructed during the upward lifting process, potentially causing the bailing pump and steel wire rope to fall into the well. This issue has always been a key factor contributing to construction interruptions and increased oil extraction costs. This article aims to discuss and study the design of the anti-jamming mechanism device for the bailing pump, transforming it from the original integrated device to a detachable device. When the bailing pump encounters a blockage underground, by artificially increasing the bailing load (but significantly less than the breaking force of the steel wire rope), the bailing pump can be partially disassembled but still connected to each other, enabling it to safely return to the surface. This, in turn, eliminates the risk of falling objects underground, improves the efficiency of bailing exploitation, reduces costs, protects the equipment and promotes the sustainable development of the oilfield in the long term.
