Interventions and Treatments for ADHD Across the Lifespan
摘要
This chapter offers a comprehensive overview of interventions and treatments for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) across the lifespan. Recognizing that ADHD symptoms and associated impairments shift as individuals transition from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood, an adaptive, lifespan approach to management is essential. The chapter outlines evidence-based treatment strategies, incorporating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. These include medications, behavioral therapies, and lifestyle modifications, all of which are tailored to the individual’s developmental stage, symptom severity, and co-occurring conditions. Ensuring optimal outcomes requires a collaborative and person-centered approach, where healthcare professionals, educators, families, and individuals with ADHD work in partnership to promote well-being and functional recovery at every life stage.
