Health Economics of CT-FFR
摘要
This chapter examines the health economics of coronary computed tomography-derived fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR), a noninvasive technique for assessing coronary artery disease. It outlines principles of health economic evaluation, including cost categories, analysis methods (e.g., cost-effectiveness), and reporting standards (CHEERS checklist). Studies comparing CT-FFR with invasive strategies show mixed results: while CT-FFR reduces invasive angiography use, its cost-effectiveness varies due to differences in study design, populations, and healthcare contexts. Key trials highlight potential cost savings and comparable clinical outcomes, though some report modest cost increases. The findings underscore the need for robust randomized trials to validate CT-FFR’s economic viability and optimize its integration into clinical practice amid evolving guidelines and resource constraints.
