Modeling of Public-Railway Composite Transportation Network in Guanzhong Plain Urban Agglomeration and Stability Analysis

Public-railway composite transportation network is the main component of Guanzhong Plain city cluster transportation network. In order to improve the operation efficiency of urban agglomeration transportation network and enhance the realization level of “One Belt, One Road” strategy, the space method in complex network theory is applied to construct the highway sub-network, railroad sub-network and public-railway composite transportation network model of Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration, and a composite edge generating method is proposed, and the topological characteristics of the composite network are investigated. The average path length and clustering coefficient of the networks are used as evaluation indexes to analyze the stability of the three networks under random attack and deliberate attack modes. The simulation results show that the stability of the three under deliberate attack is poorer compared to that under random attack. In both attack modes, the public-rail composite transportation network has higher stability compared to the highway sub-network and the railroad sub-network; the highway sub-network and the railroad sub-network perform poorly in the face of intentional attacks, and the public-rail composite transportation network has better performance in the face of intentional attacks. In view of the better performance of the public-rail composite transportation network in the stability simulation experiments, in the actual construction of the urban agglomeration transportation system, compared with the construction of separate highway and/or railroad networks, the public-rail composite network should be constructed and improved as a focus.
