Strategies and Solutions to Combat Disinformation
摘要
In the context of the digital age, disinformation refers to the intentional dissemination of false or misleading information to deceive individuals (Lin et al., 2022). This phenomenon has significant implications, including the manipulation of public opinion, influence on political outcomes, and threats to public health and safety (Nascimento et al., 2022). The rapid and extensive spread of disinformation is amplified by digital platforms (Lombardi & Busch, 2022), making it increasingly challenging to differentiate between accurate information and disinformation in today’s media landscape (Bennett & Livingston, 2018). The proliferation of disinformation not only jeopardizes individual decision-making but also erodes trust in democratic institutions and the media (Bennett & Livingston, 2018).
