Application of Fuzzy Pattern Recognition for CBM Target Selection
摘要
This chapter applies the fuzzy pattern recognition model to multiple typical mining areas to complete target area optimization and development potential prediction. For the Xinyuan Coal Mine in the northern Qinshui Basin, evaluation units are delineated separately for the No. 3, No. 9, and No. 15 coal seams. Evaluation Units 4 and 5 (No. 3 coal seam), as well as Units 1 and 2 (No. 9 and No. 15 coal seams), are selected as priority development zones, which exhibit significant combined advantages in parameters such as gas content and permeability. In the No. 8 coal seam of Baode Coal Mine in the eastern Ordos Basin, the study area is divided into 3 evaluation units. Unit 2 is classified as a Class I target area due to its large coal seam thickness and favorable gas-bearing properties; Unit 1 is also categorized as Class I, while Unit 3 is designated as Class II. In the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains, Henan Province, the focus is placed on the No. 21 coal seam. Combined with geological characteristics including stratigraphy, structure, and hydrogeology, the sorting-out of evaluation parameters and division of evaluation units are completed, leading to the selection of favorable development target areas. During the application process, development potential prediction maps are compiled for each mining area, providing precise guidance for actual exploration and development projects, and fully demonstrating the practicality and popularization value of the model.
