Causal Factors Modeling of Stress Among Construction Workers in Thailand

This research investigates the causal factors contributing to stress among construction workers in Thailand. The study aims to identify and analyze these factors and subsequently develop a model explaining the outcomes observed in the sample. The data for this study were collected through questionnaires administered to 168 construction workers in the central Northeastern region of Thailand, specifically in Roi Et, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, and Kalasin provinces. Multiple Regression Analysis was employed to determine the significant causal factors influencing stress among these construction workers. The key findings reveal three primary factors contributing to stress: (1) Hygiene and Pandemics Issues, which emerged as the most significant factor, followed by (2) Financial Concerns, and (3) Working Environment Aspects, respectively. These research outcomes offer a basis for developing adaptive strategies to mitigate stress among construction workers. Implementing these strategies is expected to foster a more positive and productive work environment, contributing to the timely and successful achievement of project goals.
