Suppression of Two More Uprisings (1527–1528): Feats in Tianzhou and Si’en
摘要
The court had never handled the unfounded accusations nor conducted the implementation of the bestowal of the titles or rewards bestowed. However, the theory of innate knowledge of the good spread rapidly and gained marked effects in life experience, bringing Yangming enormous joy in profound connection with the ancient sages. The joy of having a child at an old age also somewhat alleviated his sense of aging that had been deepened by the vicissitudes of fate and the burden of illness, but the reversed political situation deprived him again of the leisure to discuss freely with disciples and explore the realm of Confucianism. Besides, it even deprived him of the joy of living with his wife and family in the tranquil, bucolic countryside amid mountains. He was once again called upon to use his frail body to save the crumbling Ming empire.
